About i2i Poker
Since 2003 i2i have produced over 90 hours of broadcast television poker tournament programming, including the World Heads Up Poker. Championships in Barcelona, The Aussie Millions and two series of Speed Poker™, the variation on Texas Hold’em that was developed by i2i for television. In addition the company was a technical advisor on the Emmy award winning Mansion Poker Dome for FSN that saw Speed Poker™ adopted as the game played for 43 weeks during 2006/7.
In 2009 i2i Produced 10 x 1 hour shows for Australian television, the Full Tilt sponsored ‘Australian Poker Hero’ which was broadcast across Australia to record audiences.
2010 saw i2i back in Australia to produce ‘The Aussie Millions’ a 12 x 1 hour series from the southern hemisphere’s largest poker tournament. Shot in HD, the series has been broadcast worldwide.
Two series of ‘Russian Fight’ followed, filmed in Belarus, for TV7 in Russia. Seventeen hours of programmes will be produced in total featuring some of Russia’s top amateur and professional players. The series proved a logistical challenge as the entire tournament infrastructure had to be transported from the UK including set, full broadcast rig and lighting – over 16 tonnes of equipment in all.
In January 2011 we returned to Australia to film 15 x 1 hour programmes at The Aussie millions and announced that we had signed a contract to produce up to 15 hours in 2012 and a further 15 hours in 2013.
