i2i Poker are delighted to have been awarded the contract to produce The Aussie Millions for the next three years. The tournament, which is the southern hemisphere’s largest, has been held annually since 1998 at The Crown Casino in Melbourne. The three year deal has been sponsored by Full Tilt Poker and will see 45 hours coming from the event between now and 2013. The deal follows on from the success of the 2010 event which i2i Poker filmed and Full Tilt sponsored.

Russian Fight, a new poker series from i2i Poker, is on air from October 2nd 2010 and is being broadcast by  7TV in Russia.

Some of the best poker players from Russia and the CIS do battle against online qualifiers for a share of $500k. All Players will compete in two rounds, those scoring the most points in the qualifying rounds join with the Full Tilt Poker Pro’s on the final table.

If a qualifying player manages to knock out a pro in one of the qualifying rounds, they win a  $10,000 bounty.

The Pro’s include Nikolai Evnakov. Nikolai holds the world record for the number of cashes in a world series with 10 in 2008. He has over $770k in tournament winnings.

Full Tilt Pro Vitally Lunkin is one of Russia’s most successful players, Vitally has 2 world series of poker bracelets and over $4m in tournament winnings. Last, but certainly not least is International Poker superstar Erik Seidel, winner of 8 WSOP bracelets and over $10m in tournament  prize-money.

i2i Poker returned to The Aussie Millions in January 2010 to film twelve one hour shows for worldwide distribution. i2i produced the first international TV coverage of the event back in 2005 when there were just 380 competitors.

2010 saw more than 700 players in the main event with a total prize pool across the whole event of over $10m AUD . Shot for the first time on HD, the show has aired in the USA, France, Holland, Russia and will shortly be seen in Australia.

Australian poker Hero has been gripping viewers in Australia as online and pub poker players compete to win a seat on the show – and possible glory at the Aussie Millions. Fifty players from across Australia have won their way to The Crown Casino in Melbourne where in a six handed shoot-out they get the chance to win a seat at the Aussie Millions and $10,000 for a charity in their local community. Joining them at the table have been a bevy of Australian celebrity guests from sportsmen to weather girls, one even won after only playing poker for four days! We will see Hayley at the Aussie Millions along with all our other winners.
